Back to School!

The kids are walking around with their heads hanging low, for they know that school is starting on Tuesday. We are fortunate to have 3 weeks plus for our Christmas break and I love spending that extra time with them. We really did not do much except hang around the house. Everyone got new toys and wanted to invite friends over and play with their toys. Here is some fun caught on film.

Here are Tallen and Jagger at Callie and Josie's restaurant. They love to play restaurant where they re-arrange the living room to a very cute and quant 3 table restaurant. Here Jagger and Tallen volunteered to be their movie star customers. (The backward hats with the ties!!!) Kelsee and Perry volunteered to play knowing that lunch would be chicken quesadillas.

Cousins came over for some go-kart fun a dip in the Jacuzzi.

Katelyn, Josie and Callie up at Pulsiphers cabin, there is a huge tree swing near by.

Tallen upside down as he has been since Santa brought the trampoline.
Kelsee and Perry, surprised I would dare take a picture. (Cute pose they have?)
Kelsee, Perry, Nicole, Kristen and Reyna, girls she has known since kindergarten and first grade.

I will be sad when they go back but anxious to start a routine again. I am not looking forward to the tight schedule we hold from 2:30 until bedtime. I am vowing to do a better job at posting all of our fun memories on our blog. Until my next post!!

Weekend of Soccer

This weekend, of course we had more soccer tournaments. Fortunately for us we enjoy them and love watching the kids, otherwise we might commit ourselves to an institution of some sort. We have not had a Saturday off since August besides the Saturday after Christmas and the Saturday after New Year's.
Erik put together a little mini tournament where he was able to gather Silver elite team from San Diego and a premier team from Orange County. Tallen participated in another Arsenal tournament. I was able to catch a few pictures of Tallen. Sorry Kelsee, I had the camera with me. We will catch you next weekend.
By the way I am loving my new camera. Still a little undeveloped but loving the journey to get there.

After the third game Tallen was limping and complaining that his left heel hurt him. He takes all the goal kicks for his team. ( I have 30+ different pictures of him taking a goal kick.) After reviewing the footage, I think it is safe to say, that he plants pretty hard on that left heel to take his kicks. I think that might be the problem.

This was the championship game and I thought it was cute that they had the boys line up and parade out onto the field. I had never seen this done before. They lined up for all the parents and accepted the applause.
It was a great team that they played well, but sad to say, we came in second place. Oh Well, there will be more!

Christmas

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone. It feels like we just had Thanksgiving last week, where the kids were putting together their Christmas lists. Wow, How the time flies! We did have a great Christmas!(now that it is all said and done.) The kids say this is definitely my grumpy time of year. Oh how I do agree!! Christmas is just not fun for mom's.

Tallen and Callie on their new go karts!

All Kelsee wanted was a pair of Vans and gift certificates. She ended up with an i touch, something I am wishing she never knew about. Hopefully the novelty will wear off when it is time to settle into homework.

After opening presents, we went to the Pulsipher's house for more fun. They got a dune buggy, and the kids and the dad's had a great time riding that around.
Here is Tallen and Brooklyn catchin air!

Daniel and Ernie on the Dune Buggy! Love Ernie's face.

Erik and Tallen! As you can tell it was so nice of the Pulsipher children to share their new toy with us for the morning. My kids looked at their go carts and said "We wish we could have a dune buggy!"

The day followed with the Webb's coming over for an early Christmas dinner. We had so much fun in the morning that we were running a little behind. They came and I was still in my pj's. (good thing they are family.) We unwrapped more presents with our cousins. It was a good day indeed.
